The Accountant [Blu-ray + Digital Download] [2017]

I am a female of retirement age. Squeamish when it comes to violent scenes in TV/cinema material. I chose to watch The Accountant because I rate Ben Affleck as a serious actor. The film gripped me from start to finish. It has a credible backstory about the misunderstandings some parents have in relation to parenting a young child with sn autistic spectrum disorder and the legacy for the child in adulthood. The violence is believable & essential to the story. I also loved the choice of music running through the film, particularly the final piece - a beautiful acoustic guitar backing the incredible singing voice of Sean Rowe- "To leave something behind". The lyrics were so apt - in particular to the end story & the final scenes. I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys a taut thriller.

The Accountant [Blu-ray + Digital Download] [2017]

Starts off rather slow and takes quite some time for a lot of the pieces to come together. You can start to fit a few bits together here and there, but it takes a while for the true picture of what's going on and what has gone on to develop. Fight and action scenes are well worth watching. One of those films I may not watch over again though, at least not for a while.

The Accountant [Blu-ray + Digital Download] [2017]

I loved this film. It was recommended to me and while I like Ben Affleck he wasn't up there with the greats in my mind - you know sometimes it takes a while for an actor to mature to the point where you think everything they touch is golden - but, I have to say I really believed him in this and I think I now see him differently. A very interesting character; sad at times but, smart, very clever.
